English Alphabet:
Inroduction:
The English alphabet evolved over time, with the addition of new letters and the replacement of others. The word ‘alphabet’ is a compound of ‘alpha’ and ‘beta’, the names of the first two letters in Greek alphabet. Old English was first written down using the Latin alphabet during the 7th century. Later, various letters entered or fell out of use during the centuries that followed. Modern English Alphabet is written with a Latin script consisting of 26 letters with each having both uppercase and lowercase. The answer to "who made the English Alphabet first?" is not a singular person and historian believe not even a group of people. Rather, the English Alphabet has been molded, adapted, and influenced by various types of alphabets overtime.
